Sue West is a senior Human Resources professional with 20+ years of operational and strategic HR practice in a variety of sectors including financial services, education, tourism, retail and voluntary. She has a BA (Hons), Chartered MCIPD
Sue runs a HR consultancy with a strong employment law focus and helps businesses balance their legal obligations with their commercial objectives through: Management and leadership training design and delivery (HR/employment law focus), HR policy design, development, implementation and embedding, HR audits and strategy development, Disciplinary, grievance, dismissal and appeal, Restructuring and redundancies, Absence management, Recruitment and selection including psychometric testing and assessment centres, Performance management system implementation and HR projects and problem solving eg. reducing labour turnover, becoming an employer of choice.
Sue has extensive practical training design and delivery experience. In workshops she adopts a relaxed, consultative style to draw out learners’ experiences and share her own along with the use of case studies based on real examples to practice new techniques. Workshops are designed to enable people managers to proactively manage their employees with relevant knowledge, resources and confidence.
Sue teaches a range of courses including Appraisal skills, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Human resources and Handling difficult people and situations
