Apprenticeship Workshop Trainer

Salary Banding: £24,500

Location: Itec House, Cardiff

Contract type: full-time, permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • Accountable for delivering our health and social care workshops, which engage, motivate, and upskill learners.
  • Accountable for reminder communications to all learners attending your sessions.
  • Responsible for managing all fail-to-attend learners for all workshop sessions.
  • Responsible for updating each learner’s Smart Assessor file with the knowledge learned from the workshop, ensuring progress has been made, and closing the session accurately.
  • Accountable for offering learners additional support if required.
  • Responsible for offering additional support if any learner has an identified ALN.
  • Attend regular standardisation sessions with your peers to share best practices and review current or new course content.
  • Accountable for achieving learner feedback results at a 90% good or above score on peer observations.
  • Maintain knowledge and adherence to work-based learning professional standards, the education workforce’s code of practice, and the company’s code of conduct.

What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?

Essential

  • Relevant training experience and qualification(s)
  • Experience working in an apprenticeship setting.
  • Occupational experience, knowledge, and technical competence in route delivery
  • Full driving licence with use of own vehicle

Desirable

  • PGCE/relevant teacher/trainer qualification
  • CAVA Unit: Classroom-based delivery.
  • Level 5 Practitioner Award
  • TAQA qualification or equivalent qualification
  • Qualified or with the potential and willingness to work towards:
  • AON Level 2: Digital Literacy Level 2
  • ESW Communication Level 2
