Apprenticeship Workshop Trainer
Salary Banding: £24,500
Location: Itec House, Cardiff
Contract type: full-time, permanent
Working hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?
- Accountable for delivering our health and social care workshops, which engage, motivate, and upskill learners.
- Accountable for reminder communications to all learners attending your sessions.
- Responsible for managing all fail-to-attend learners for all workshop sessions.
- Responsible for updating each learner’s Smart Assessor file with the knowledge learned from the workshop, ensuring progress has been made, and closing the session accurately.
- Accountable for offering learners additional support if required.
- Responsible for offering additional support if any learner has an identified ALN.
- Attend regular standardisation sessions with your peers to share best practices and review current or new course content.
- Accountable for achieving learner feedback results at a 90% good or above score on peer observations.
- Maintain knowledge and adherence to work-based learning professional standards, the education workforce’s code of practice, and the company’s code of conduct.
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?
Essential
- Relevant training experience and qualification(s)
- Experience working in an apprenticeship setting.
- Occupational experience, knowledge, and technical competence in route delivery
- Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
Desirable
- PGCE/relevant teacher/trainer qualification
- CAVA Unit: Classroom-based delivery.
- Level 5 Practitioner Award
- TAQA qualification or equivalent qualification
- Qualified or with the potential and willingness to work towards:
- AON Level 2: Digital Literacy Level 2
- ESW Communication Level 2
