Jakki Bendell

History and experience

Following a marketing career in the private sector, and several years teaching business English overseas, Jakki has over ten years’ experience as a consultant, trainer and coach specialising in business writing and communication skills.

From a background in marketing and international new business, and with expertise as a professional writer, Jakki is interested in how to communicate ideas in today’s hectic business environment. She has extensive experience in helping people in both the private and public sectors communicate their ideas in bids and tenders, reports, proposals, correspondence, web and content marketing.

Jakki has an MBA from Manchester Business School, and post-graduate certificates in training practice, coaching and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages). She is an Associate of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development). She has lived and worked in Europe and Asia, and has been both a Trustee and Director of a UK charity.

Jakki discovered early on in her career that how we are taught to write at school and university does not always prepare us well for communicating in business. She is passionate about helping talented employees express themselves in clear, concise and persuasive writing. As a writer herself, she is interested in both the practical skills, techniques and tools that help people write to tight deadlines, and the strategies that transform ideas into action.

“I really enjoyed the training and I look forward to seeing Jakki in the future for our next training session.”
