Conducting a formal hearing (disciplinary, capability, absence)

Course summary

For disciplinary, capability and absence management hearings, employees have certain rights which mean particular processes need to be followed and that decision making is reasonable in the circumstances. Get it wrong and an organisation risks undermining the employment relationship and not being able to achieve the purpose of the hearing.
Attendees will learn through discussion and activities what a formal hearing is for, how to ensure a hearing is conducted fairly and effectively to provide a constructive outcome for the needs of the business.
