Meet Boglárka, a World Skills UK finalist.

Boglárka Tunde Incze who recently completed a Level 2 in Health and Social Care has been looking to come back and do her Level 3 here at Itec. Not only has Boglárka completed these qualifications, but she also accomplished a Level 2 and 3 for AoN and Communication. During Covid, she successfully completed expert witness testimonies with ease.

Boglárka’s second language is English, but she has never let this become a barrier and has also been a Welsh learner for over five years. She admitted,

“I always have to work harder than everybody else to prove that I’m capable of being in some positions and roles.”

However, all her hard work is paying off as she is also a finalist in the World Skills UK Competition for Health and Social Care. She is also a finalist for Apprentice of the Year, with Apprenticeships Awards Cymru.

“I wanted to raise awareness that social care is much, much more than people think.”

Having previously acquired a career in IT Marketing, Boglárka is proving that anything is possible after all her fantastic achievements with the help of Itec.

Additionally, Boglárka wishes to be an advocate for those involved in Health and Social Services, saying:

“I promised myself if I’m going to make it to the final, I hope I can be listened to because I want to advocate both sides. The service users, what they feel and experience, but I know the carers, the struggle from our side, the mental health problems, no support, the long hours; and I hope somebody, somewhere, will listen and make a change.”

We would like to wish Boglárka the best of luck in the World Skills UK Final on the 25th of November.
