Our Time management for managers training shows managers how to take a positive approach to time management. It highlights the skills and techniques required to make the most of every day, without feeling overwhelmed by work overload and the demands of your job and your team.

Like money, time can be spent wisely – or unwisely. This Time management for managers course teaches you how to budget time more effectively, so that you can make improvements to your working day, your output and your quality of life.

Over the day you will cover:

  • How you currently manage your time and how to improve.
  • Organisational culture and its impact on time management.
  • Valuing your time – how much is it worth?
  • Your top timewasters.
  • Your work energy cycle: managing stress and burn-out.
  • The four tools of time management.
  • Prioritising tasks, planning your workload and scheduling time (including using Gantt charts and other tools).
  • Handling interruptions: paper, phone calls and managing email overload.
  • Controlling your diary.
  • Personal action plans for change.
  • A year of free support.

The Time management training course uses a mixture of open discussion, case studies, work-related exercises and trainer input to enable you to consider your current use of time, and to develop strategies for changing what you want and need to change. Participants are asked to keep a time diary before the course, and to bring it along with them.
