Unqualified Assessor in Children and Young People
Salary Banding: £23,920 to £24,960.
Base: Cardiff (Hybrid)
Contract type: Full-time, permanent
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm
This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?
- Ensure the highest training standards by adapting to learner needs.
- Cover a regional area and travel to learners’ workplaces for assessments.
- Complete Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and outline personalised learning pathways.
- Reference and evaluate evidence collected in the workplace to meet key skill requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and guided contact hours, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and achievement of set performance targets.
- Arrange additional training through day release and provide in-house training support as needed.
- Keep detailed records of clients’ achievements to meet the performance criteria established by relevant awarding bodies.
What skills and experience are we looking for in potential applicants?
Essential
- Proven occupational experience and technical competence in Children and Young People sector
- Children and Young People qualification or equivalent.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
- Welsh speaking is desirable.
