Health and Social Care Tutor

Salary Banding: £21,500 – £24,000

Location: South Wales

Contract type: Full time, Permanent

Working hours: Monday – Friday 9.00am – 4.30pm

This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • Delivering specialist route in Health and Social Care supporting learners within workshop or one to one setting using a variety of teaching methods to engage, support and motivate youth learners to enhance their qualifications
  • Develop creative lesson plans incorporating differentiated teaching styles and activities to ensure a quality learning experience
  • Registering, arranging, conducting and invigilating controlled tasks with learners undertaking their Qualification in line with award body requirements
  • Carrying out all organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking associated with teaching and assessment responsibilities
  • Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications to a quality standard in a timely fashion

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?

  • Occupational experience within Health and Social care
  • Level 2 in Health and Social care or higher
  • City & Guilds 9300 Level 2 in supporting Adults and Young People in Essential Skills
  • Experience of working with vulnerable youths and passionate about making a difference Engaging and inspirational training / delivery style
  • Willingness to work towards, CAVA qualification / 8375 practitioners Award Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to speak Welsh desirable
  • Full driving license
