Salary Banding: £23,000

Base: Covering South Wales

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.30pm

This role is subject to a DBS check. The cost of the DBS check will be met by the company.

What are the core responsibilities of this role?

  • Accountable for delivering ESOL training which engages, motivates and upskills participants.
  • Accountable for helping participants identify barriers to work and set out steps required to overcome them
  • Responsible for assessing all participants on programme, using ESOL assessments, recording the findings on Case Management system
  • Responsible for producing a lesson plan for each taught session incorporating topics relating to whole class teaching, individual, paired, group and differentiated activities
  • Accountable for delivering taught sessions which include direct teaching and the use of a variety of teaching strategies/ methodologies
  • Responsible for supporting participants learning by the use of ICT

What skills and experience are we looking for from potential applicants?


  • · ESOL qualification or equivalent
  • · Experience of working with unemployed adults
  • · Full driving licence
