Leading an inter-generational workforce
Each group has its own distinct characteristics, values, and attitudes toward work, based on its generation’s life experiences. To successfully integrate these diverse generations into the workplace, companies will need to embrace radical changes in recruitment, benefits, and creating a corporate culture that actively demonstrates respect and inclusion for its multigenerational work force.
This workshop will consider the challenges facing recruiters, managers and business owners in terms of working across the generations and will provide some useful insights and tools to get the best out of every employee, regardless of age.

By 2024, about 25% of the workforce is projected to be over the age of 55. That compares to only about 12 percent of the workforce in 1994. In fact, in some workplaces, 55 does not even begin to signify time to retire. Those in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s also are deciding to stay in place either full time or part time. This trend has resulted in a new phenomenon: more generations in the workplace. In fact, today, many workplaces are composed of five generations:
- Silents (Born between 1925 and 1946).
- Baby Boomers (Born between 1946 and 1964).
- Generation Xers (Born between 1965 and 1980).
- Generation Ys or Millennials (born after 1980).
- Generation Z (born after 1997).
A core challenge over the next decade will be to attract and retain a skilled work force as the labor market continues to tighten, technology continues to evolve, and fewer foreign students immigrate to America for job opportunities. This situation is exacerbated as companies find themselves managing five generations of American workers.
All our training courses are delivered virtually. The webinar systems used do not require software download.
